It was billed as a "one-night-only" event (though some theaters held encore screenings) designed to celebrate the return of the live show to Broadway, which reopened just two days later on September 17, 2021.

The screening included this exclusive, never-before-seen conversation between David Byrne and director Spike Lee.

This conversation was eventually preserved as a special feature on the Criterion Collection release of the film (released in late 2025/early 2026). It is listed as a 13-minute conversation filmed in 2020
